Taylor Danel Lautner the actor playing Jacob Black, was born February 11th Michigan,U.S.A 1992 of Native Indian, French, German and Dutch descent. Born to Daniel and Deborah, he has one younger sister – Makena and stands at 1.79 m tall – 5′ 10 1/2″.

Chinese Sign: Monkey, for a breakdown please look here.Taylor started Karate training from an early age (six) and by the time he was eleven he held the number one position in the world for NASKA’s Black Belt Open Forms, Musical Weapons, Traditional Weapons and Traditional Forms and, at the age of twelve, he won the Junior World Championships making him an accomplished martial artist indeed. It was actually his coach – Michael Chaturantabut who first got the young Lautner into acting. At the age of seven, Micheal suggested that his young study audition for a Burger King commercial. Although he didn’t get the part, Taylor and his family decided to concentrate upon developing an acting career and the family began making frequent visits for various auditions before finally relocating to the home of acting, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Soon Taylor was starring in many made for television roles and films made for TV such as Summerland, The Bernie Mac Show, and My Wife and Kids and Summerland and The Nick & Jessica Variety Hour. He also appeared as himself (demonstrating his martial arts abilities) in America’s Most Talented Kids. The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl, by 2005 was the breakthrough the young actor had been waiting for and he was cast to show off his martial arts skills. By 2008, history had been made and Taylor was cast in a once-in-a-lifetime role as Jacob Black in the first Twilight Saga film released in 2008. After bulking up by some 30 pounds Taylor was able to return to his role for the rest of the Twilight film installments.

He currently resides in Los Angeles, has a maltese dog named Roxy and is currently reported to be single.
